Learn to feast on the delight of your desire, rather than feasting on the small snack of fulfilling the desire. Reach deeply beyond the desire and connect to the longing from which it comes. Hold that longing in your heart until you cannot hold back your tears.

This is the way home:

Longing is your map, while feelings and emotions are not. Longing is a steady river, feelings are a passing breeze. Longing keeps a thread, a direction, a journey, while desire is as quick as the flicker of a flame. Hold your longing, feel it deeply, let it make you feel something, allow it to express itself through you, then let the desire hold you. Rest inside it, and find your sleep there. It will take you home.

Spiritual Bargaining

Anytime I want something, whether it be spiritual and material, I often find myself praying to God, “give this to me and then I will show gratitude”, as if my gratitude is the currency by which I purchase my consumer item. Recently I have discovered that nothing helps my desires to manifest more perfectly and more swiftly then to pray for them with gratitude already in my heart for what I am about to receive. And nothing helps me to cultivate that gratitude more than to be grateful for the things that I already have, both great and small. To those with clear eyes and full hearts this universe is truly abundant.

All We Are We Are

By Matt Nathonson
I tasted, tasted love so sweet
And all of it was lost on me

Bought and sold like property

Sugar on my tongue

I kept falling over

I kept looking backward

I went broke believing

That the simple should be hard

All we are we are

All we are we are

And every day is a start of something beautiful

I wasted, wasted love for you

Traded out for something new

Well, it’s hard to change the way you lose

If you think you never won

All we are we are

All we are we are

And every day is a start of something beautiful

And in the end the words won’t matter

Cause in the end nothing stays the same

And in the end dreams just scatter and fall like rain

All we are we are

All we are we are

And every day is a start of something beautiful

All we are we are

All we are we are

And every day is a start of something beautiful

Newton’s Law

When you find yourself judging, just remember how much you really know. Not how much you want to appear to know, but what you actually know. We don’t know much. And those who don’t know much should not judge.

For every judgement there is an equal and opposite judgement. Whatever thought you hold others to is the thought by which your subconscious judges you. This explains, “forgive us our trespasses as we forgive those who trespass against us”. Judging others truly is judging yourself.

Be kind to yourself by being kind to all.
